We represent Liberia in its splendid diversity and unity. We hail from hamlets and villages, towns and cities in each and every county across our country. We are students and teachers, pehn-pehn boys and farmers, nyana boys and market women, engineers and architects, doctors and lawyers, business people and civil servants. We come from various faiths and religious backgrounds. We are Liberians like you. Some of us were formerly members of various political parties in Liberia. For other of us, this represents our first involvement in organized activities aimed at affecting our country's socio-economic and political development. Amidst our diversity we are united by one common purpose: to put Liberia first.
To help achieve this goal we have organized ourselves into the Alternative National Congress of Liberia. We are more than a political party. We are a community of people committed to thinking through and developing innovative policies and transformational leadership necessary to create the space and environment in which all Liberians can achieve their full potential. We are committed to giving every Liberian a shot at living a decent life: access to adequate housing, healthcare and education. Liberia has the means to give each of its citizens a shot at such a life. All we need is the prudent exploitation and management of our bountiful natural resources for the benefit of ALL Liberians.
The Alternative National Congress is the youngest and already the most exciting political party in Liberia, having gained full-fledged party status with its certification by the National Elections Commission on June 10, 2013.
